Accountant

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, financial reporting, and a strong understanding of accounting principles. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and supporting various accounting functions within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Recordkeeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies.
General Ledger Management : Post journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure the integrity of financial data.
Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring that they reflect the company’s financial status.
Accounts Payable/Receivable : Process invoices, track outstanding payments, and assist in collections as necessary.
Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights to help the company achieve its financial goals.
Tax Compliance : Assist with tax filings and ensure that the company complies with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Audit Support : Prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring that the company’s financial practices are transparent and in compliance with regulations.
Reconciliation : Perform bank reconciliations and review discrepancies between the general ledger and other financial systems.
Cost Analysis : Monitor company expenditures and analyze costs to help identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Proven experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of tax laws and compliance.
